Hacía años que no anhelaba con todas las fuerzas de mi alma generosa el fin de cuatrimestre. Siempre se me van como agua pero esta vez, añadiendo mi falta de práctica (aunque parezca mentira, cuatro meses sin madrugar hacen mella) tuvimos el regalote de una partida salvaje que se propuso destrozar todo a su paso XD En dos días me quito ese problema. No me gusta cuando deseo terminar lo antes posible. ¿Qué objeto tiene? Es frustrante/triste/terrible.

Confío en que las vagaciones de un mes me ayuden a enfocarme :D

Unfortunately with our last release, and its instability, we were forced to roll back releases. Unfortunately in doing so, it would seem that our notification system has been broken somehow. Our engineers are working on this issue as quickly as possible. We hope to have a patch within the next day, so we can deploy our code and fix the notification system at the same time. I legit do not even read anybody's blog anymore ;_; Well, people that used to be in my social circle at least. I don't know.. Singaporeansthese people just don't interest me the slightest bit. I realised when i was going through my browsers and history, it's mostly just youtube, facebook, GDA, GDC, twitter and tumblr. Ofcourse i still keep up with a few journals owned by people who i care about, but that's just a minority. Oh a friend once gave me a theory, that your body language/speech etc is manipulated by the people around you, the blogsites you read, or even your activity in the virtual world. ngl or sorry to burst your bubble but this is actually trufax. It's no wonder i used to resemble a thickpigshit. Hah, see what i'm indirectly trying to say here? oh

Recently though, my sister's been updating me about some of the latest 'trends' and chinesemixangmoh sentence structures established by the new generation of ghetto kids. So just for the sake of FYI, i blog hopped and holy pregnant-at-16 mother of god, i'm so thankful i do not exist in the same ballpark as these people. OHSEEWHATIDIDER I POKE FUN AT PEOPLE, not pointing fingers though cause well, i don't have enough fingers.

La Ciudad de México tiene dos volcanes muy cerca: uno de ellos, Don Goyo (aka Popocatépetl, nombre azteca), está dormitando. No hay peligro de que haga erupción, pero resulta interesantísimo recordarlo cuando estás frente a brillantes ejemplos de lo que fue Pompeya en el 79 d.C., ese fatídico día de agosto.

Plinio el Joven contó que su tío, Plinio el Viejo, excitado por lo que se veía un tremendo acontecimiento histórico digno de documentar de primera mano, se embarcó rumbo a la zona. Jamás volvió. Además, Plinio el Joven refirió detalles tan intensos como que la ceniza ennegreció los cielos napolitanos por semanas.

Cuando caminas por sus calles hay algo vago, terrible y hermoso. No sentí esa opresión natural que nubla el ánimo cuando recorres un lugar donde mucha gente ha perdido la vida. He pisado varios lugares así, y la sensación me recorre involuntariamente. En el caso de Pompeya no sentí eso, salvo al llegar hasta la zona de los templos y del anfiteatro. Me negué en redondo a acercarme a los vaciados de cadáveres. Sentí -y ya lo he mencionado- que el shock me haría mucho daño, y lo evité. Probablemente nunca tenga el ánimo de verlos.

Afortunadamente los gringos en Washington armaron junto con autoridades italianas una genial exposición que viajó hasta California y luego a México. Me alegra que las autoridades mexicanas negocien apropiadamente. El presidente inauguró ésta semana. Se queda hasta febrero. Como era de esperarse, había poca gente. Con poca me refiero a que eventualmente, mientras recorres las salas, existen piezas solitarias que puedes contemplar a tu antojo. Pude sumergirme durante largos minutos sin interrupciones. Y entré gratis porque soy profesor. En México, los estudiantes de cualquier grado que puedan probarlo con su credencial escolar, los profesores, jubilados y personas de la tercera edad, tienen acceso gratuito a los museos del país, salvo que se trate de instituciones privadas, aunque en ellas generalmente obtienen un descuento considerable, que puede ser hasta el 50% del precio total de acceso.

No dejan tomar fotos, ni apuntes. ( Pero dejaron captar éstas... )
